Do Triathletes wear cycling shoes?
Many triathletes will keep their running shoes beside their bike for the quickest possible change, but be mindful that they’re not in the path of any other competitors – or your bike when it needs to be racked.
Should you wear socks in a triathlon?
While you won’t need socks for swimming, you’ll likely want to keep your feet dry and comfortable through the cycling and running legs of your triathlon. In fact, even the professionals had to work their way up to wearing no socks for their races.
Why is it so hard to clip out of peloton?
If you are having trouble clipping into your Bike, or if it is too difficult to unclip from the Bike, we recommend loosening the pedal tension using the 3 millimeter Allen key included with your Bike. To loosen the pedal tension, turn the screw toward the minus sign (counterclockwise) one-quarter of a turn at a time.

You will have a self-made tri suit. Keep in mind, however, that you will want to buy a triathlon short, not a cycling short. The cycling short will hold too much water during the swim (think: swim diaper). The triathlon short has a thin pad, made to wear during the entire race: swim, bike, and run.
Can you wear swim socks in a triathlon?
For open water swim triathlons, the use of a wetsuit is usually mandatory. While the wetsuit will help you to keep warm in the water, you may also want to consider a neoprene skullcap, swimming gloves and a pair of swimming socks in very cold conditions.
