Is it OK to cut carbon handlebars?
For aluminum, steel and titanium bars, a metal cutting blade with teeth is ideal. For carbon fiber bars, a carbon compatible blade is most effective. If you don’t have a carbon compatible blade substitute a higher-toothed (32 tpi or higher) steel blade.
Can you cut carbon fiber with a hacksaw?
Most of you already have a hacksaw and/or coping saw in the garage. A metal cutting blade on one of these saws will work well for cutting straight lines in carbon fiber. Even though the blade will dull quickly they are low cost and get the job done.

Protecting your body: When someone is using carbon fiber, they should never try to rub it off of their skin. Carbon fiber strings are more likely metal wires and can quickly enter the skin. So trying to rub or scratch off the fibers will only cause the carbon fiber dust to penetrate deeper into the skin.
