Where do you put your bike during a triathlon?
Put your cycle shoes/trainers next to the back or front wheel, depending which way round your bike is. Put them on a towel. If you are wearing socks, open them up so they will slide on easily.
Do bikes get stolen at triathlons?
The vast majority of bike theft at events occurs immediately after the race. This isn’t generally a problem with major events like Ironman, where security is strict and the bike pickup window is late in the evening, after the event has ended or is near completion.
Do triathletes Pee on the bike?
On to the matter at hand – yes, some triathletes do, in fact, pee on their bikes. If it’s not obvious, triathletes pee while riding their bike so they don’t have to stop – saving precious time for competitive races.
Can you walk your bike during a triathlon?

Why you should never date a triathlete?

Do you wear socks in a triathlon?
Most pro triathletes don’t wear socks for sprint and Olympic distance events and are wearing some for longer events. However, over a full Ironman distance, it is rather insignificant. The comfort of socks over such a big distance is, for most people, well worth those couple of seconds.
Do I need a triathlon race belt?
During the race you will normally need to wear a race number so a number belt can be really useful as you will need to change the position of the race number during each stage. Usually on your back for the bike stage and on the front for the run stage.
