What does Athena mean in triathlon?
The addition of weight categories is relatively new to running, and not every race offers this option. The Athena (women’s) category weight cutoff ranges from 145 lbs to 160 lbs. The Clydesdale (men’s) category cutoff ranges from 200lbs to 220 lbs. In running, we know that weight does make a difference.
