We Are the TriBucks!
The Ohio State Triathlon Club aims to establish a friendly and competitive environment for undergraduate and graduate students training for triathlons of all distances. We like to foster an environment that will encourage a lifestyle of physical fitness, proper nutrition, and lifelong athletes. In this club we help beginners finish their first triathlons while challenging experienced triathletes to become more competitive on the local, regional, and national levels. This is done through a very dedicated coaching staff and friendly training environment suited for all levels.
Intrested in joining? Questions? Come out to one of our practices, or contact Laura Matacia (matacia.2[at]osu.edu) for more info!
How do I join?
Just come out to a few practices to see if you like it. If you choose to stick with it (you will), you’ll be asked to pay the team dues after about a week, which makes you officially part of the team!
Does it cost anything to join?
The yearly dues to be a member of the club is $60. This low price gives you access to a team shirt, pool time, spinning classes, sponsorship perks, coaching, and all the multisport training you can handle.
What is a TriBuck?
A TriBuck takes on many forms, but it is widely know to be the fastest nut on land and sea. It is a fierce being which eats pain for breakfast, and the competition for lunch. When the TriBucks unite, they are a force to be reckoned with.
